How do I start my first chat with luckychat?
Once your chat server is set up, you can access it from your dashboard by clicking the “Login” button in the “Chat” tile. Alternatively, you can enter the web address in your browser:
Option 1: If you use your own domain for luckychat, the web address is composed as follows: https://yourname.yourdomain.com.
Option 2: If you use the domain from luckycloud, the web address is: https://yourname.lucky-chat.com.
Simply log in with your full email address and password. Alternatively, you have the option to gain immediate access via auto-login using Single Sign-On.
After a successful login, you will be on the Home page of luckychat. Here, you can always keep track of your spaces, groups, and private chat messages.
Important Notes on Your Recovery Key:
During your first login to luckychat, a chat backup password is generated. This recovery key is particularly important as it is used to decrypt your messages if you lose your devices or log in on a new device.
Be sure to store your recovery key in a safe place! Without it, you cannot recover your messages, and they will be permanently lost.
Try to stay logged in with at least one device at all times. This way, you can use this device to easily verify future devices.
What should I consider when logging in with a new device for the first time?
When logging in with a new device for the first time, it is best to use a device already logged into luckychat for verification. If no other device is available, enter your chat backup password (your recovery key) to manually decrypt the messages. Please remember: Without the password or a verified device, you cannot recover your messages.
